MEMBERSHIP

  1. Your Weekly Surgery membership will continue until terminated by the user. To use the service you must have Internet access and provide us with one or more Payment Methods. "Payment Method" means a current, valid, credit or debit card. Unless you cancel your membership before your billing date, you authorise us to charge the membership fee for the next billing cycle to your Payment Method. If we cannot collect the monthly membership fee we will retry 3 days after the initial failed payment, attempt to contact you before finally terminating your membership.

RIGHT TO CANCEL OR RESTRICT ACCESS

  1. We reserve the right to cancel your account or restrict access to booked courses if you are outside the course providers acceptable use policy.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

  1. Cancellation by the delegate

    1. As access to the course is immediate upon subscribing, no refund shall be issued after purchase.

    2. If the user requires to cancel their subscription, they can do so at any time by logging into their account and selecting the cancel subscription option through the “My Account” page. Payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for any partial periods or unwatched content.

    3. Alternatively, users can cancel their subscription by emailing info@premedprojects.co.uk with their desire to cancel and the head office team will action this on behalf of the user. If cancelling a membership in this way please allow 3 working days before your membership renewal for the cancellation to become active.

    4. In extenuating circumstances and only at the discretion of the Director the user may be offered a credit to the user account that may include a charge for administration.

    5. No refund will be made for non-attendance on the course.

  2. Cancellation or postponement by The Weekly Surgery

    1. In the unlikely situation of a course/event being cancelled, the relevant Administrator will inform all booked delegates at the earliest time possible.

    2. If it is a case of postponement, the user will be informed of the new date. If the date is not convenient, the user is entitled to a full course credit.

Complaints & Disciplinary Procedures.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION: If a dispute arises between you and us, our goal is to provide you with a neutral and cost effective means of resolving the dispute quickly. Accordingly, you and us agree that we will resolve any claim or controversy at law or equity that arises out of this Agreement or our Services (a “Claim”) in accordance with one of the subsections below or as we and you otherwise agree in writing. Before resorting to these alternatives, we strongly encourage you to first contact us directly to seek a resolution by sending an email to info@premedprojects.co.uk. We will consider reasonable requests to resolve the dispute through alternative dispute resolution procedures, such as mediation or arbitration, as alternatives to legal action. 

DESCRIPTIONS, AVAILABILITY AND PRICING

  1. All services are supplied subject to availability.

  2. We have the right to change our prices at any time without advance warning.

  3. We do our best to ensure that the descriptions and illustrations are fair, honest and accurate.

  4. Our service is intended to be available without disruption. Due to maintenance, or for other unexpected reasons, there may be periods of unavailability of the course.

FORCE MAJEURE

  1. We are not liable to you for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances outside our control.

ACCESS TO THE SITE

  1. It is entirely your responsibility to ensure that your equipment is correctly configured and capable of using our services.

  2. It is not technically possible to provide the service free from errors and / or faults and we do not undertake to do so. We operate an online support facility to enable errors and / or faults to be reported and resolved but we cannot warrant that all errors and / or faults will be corrected.

  3. There is an accepted pathway to support. All registered users will get support directly from the course provider.

LICENSE TO ACCESS THE SITE

  1. You are issued a limited licence to access and make personal use of this. This licence does not include any resale or commercial use of this website or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this website or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.

  2. This website or any portion of this website may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.

  3. You may not frame or use framing techniques to enclose any trademark, logo, or other proprietary information (including images, text, page layout, or form). Any unauthorised use terminates the permission or license granted.

CONTRACT

  1. A contract is formed when payment for a course has been fulfilled. Payment is bound to the course and the contract is formed between the course provider and registered user. Only registered users are able to book on courses.

PERSONAL INFORMATION AND SECURITY

  1. We guarantee that any personal information you send us online will be secure.

  2. Information that you provide to us must be true, accurate and complete. You agree to inform us of any changes in your details (contact details, address, telephone number or email address) by updating them using the website or by email.

  3. It is very important your email address is kept valid and up-to-date as that is where we will send important information about your account. You can update this at any time in the website. If this email address is found to be invalid you will not get the full advantage of the site and miss out on important communications. It may result in your account being temporarily suspended.

STATUTORY RIGHTS

  1. Nothing in these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.

BILLING MISTAKES

  1. If we make a mistake in any bill, we will correct it as soon as the mistake comes to our attention, and we will, if appropriate, refund any money to you promptly.

INTERPRETATION AND GOVERNING LAW.

  1. This contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

Safeguarding Policy.

In order to ensure we maintain high standards of safeguarding, The Weekly Surgery would like to make you aware of the following to enable a safe remote learning environment:

SAFETY DURING LESSONS

  1. For students under the age of 18, It is recommended that ALL online courses be done in a communal area in the home where parents are in the vicinity to overhear or see the course being taken.

  2. Students are not required to have access to a webcam/video facilities and will not be required to have use of their microphones.

  3. Students will not usually asked to engage their video or microphone facilities at any point. The exception is that sometimes we accept live questions by voice rather than text, if you would like to participate we will ask for consent,

  4. The chat function during the course will be accessible to students to facilitate group learning but only if a staff member can monitor the chat.

  5. Student conduct during lessons will be monitored at all times where the chat function is enabled. Bullying / inappropriate comments / discrimination etc will not be allowed and will be reported through to safeguarding staff should we become aware of such incidents. For safeguarding and security reasons Zoom to be used for remote teaching. Therefore, please note that no other forms of video access for online teaching (such as Skype / FaceTime etc) are permitted.

  6. Screen shots / photos of lessons are not allowed from students (i.e still pics being taken during a live feed). Recording of live elements of a course are always in place, this is to allow students access to view the recordings for 90 days after the course ends and also to enable staff to review any issues that may be brought to our attention.

  7. Student and/or parental personal information or photos / videos must not be shared online as per our Data Protection Policies.

    HOW TO REPORT A SAFEGUARDING CONCERN

1. If you feel worried about a student attending one of our courses and/or would like some support or advice, or to report mental health concerns / online abuse / domestic violence / discrimination / online bullying / radicalisation please speak to The Weekly Surgery by emailing info@premedprojects.co.uk. This address is monitored constantly during a live broadcast.

SAFEGUARDING CONCERNS REGARDING STAFF MEMBERS

1, If you have any safeguarding concerns about the conduct of a staff member, please report this immediately to The Weekly Surgery - info@premedprojects.co.uk. This email address is not monitored by any of our speakers or teachers and any information provided will be received in the strictest confidence.
